Sue Kennington

Sue Kennington‘s work investigates the ability of color alone to be used as an emotional visual language, incorporating the material into esoteric systems, repetitions and asymmetries, with particular emphasis on the use of juxtaposition of color as an agent of light. The resulting chromatic entities, rather than well-defined forms, seem to be arrangements of contours, suspended agglomerations, improvised geometries, intermittent tensions, the result of a wavy and nervous motion of color, which follows and guides the artist’s emotions.
